1) power off/on router. 2) power off/on printer. 3) hold down wifi button for 6+ seconds. 4) tried it on a different laptop. 5) ran the scanner tool thing. 6) even tried a factory hard reset on printer, but not sure if it worked or not Nov 8, 2022 · this will put the printer is in the auto wireless connect (awc) setup mode. When the printer is in the awc setup mode, the edge lighting will glow purple, pulsing from the middle outward, repeating. Mar 10, 2022 · i held the button for 3 seconds and the i button on the panel to get the wireless quick start guide. I followed directions and the printer has a steady purple glow with blinking blue wifi symbol on the panel. I use the hp app on my iphone and on the thinkpad laptop. My phone keeps searching for printers and i am connected to the new wifi. (the printer light will turn to purple color means reset done! ) 2nd launch the hp easy setup software and follow the instructions given. Make sure your printer is powered on. 3) refer to this link to use the hp smart app on your phone/tablet/pc to add a printer. Enable bluetooth for an hp smart app setup: Enable bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that hp smart can detect the printer during the setup.
